Palworld OCG — Fanmade Simulator

Cookie Policy

Effective date: June 26, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 24, 2026

In short: We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you logged in, and Google Analytics cookies only if you explicitly accept them. You are always in control.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in — so you don't have to repeat the same actions every time.

Cookies are not programs and cannot execute code or carry viruses. They simply store a small piece of text.

2. Cookies We Use

Name Type Purpose Duration Provider
paltcg_session Necessary Keeps you logged in after authentication. Contains a random cryptographic token — no personal data is stored inside the cookie itself. 30 days This site
_ga Analytics Google Analytics main cookie. Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number. Used to calculate visit statistics. 2 years Google
_ga_XXXXXXXX Analytics Google Analytics 4 session cookie. Used to persist session state and count page views within a single session. 2 years Google

Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) are only set after you explicitly accept them via the consent banner. If you reject or ignore the banner, these cookies are never created.

The simulator's separate first-party gameplay-learning dataset does not set or read an additional cookie or local-storage identifier. It is therefore not listed in the cookie table. It operates independently from Google Analytics consent and is explained in the Privacy Policy.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies

The paltcg_session cookie is strictly necessary for the site to function correctly. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent.

This cookie is set with the HttpOnly flag (inaccessible to JavaScript) and SameSite=Lax (protection against cross-site request forgery).

3a. Local Storage

Besides cookies, the simulator stores a few small pieces of data directly in your browser's local/session storage rather than as HTTP cookies — this data is never sent to our server automatically and is only readable by this site's own JavaScript, not by any third party. Like the strictly necessary cookie above, none of it is used for tracking or analytics, so it does not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive.

Name Type Purpose Duration
paltcg-cookie-consent Necessary Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. The Google Analytics script is not requested until the stored value is accepted. Until cleared
paltcg-music, paltcg-sfx, paltcg-music-volume, paltcg-sfx-volume Necessary Remember your music/sound-effects on-off and volume preferences between visits. Until cleared
palworld-tcg-player-id Necessary Identifies your browser to the matchmaking server for solo/online play. Removed automatically if you delete your account. Until cleared
paltcg-deck-draft-* Necessary Autosaves your in-progress Deckbuilder draft locally so it survives an accidental page reload. Until cleared
palworld-tcg-last-broadcast-ts Necessary Remembers the last server announcement you've seen, so it isn't shown to you again. Until cleared
paltcg-last-deck Necessary Remembers your last-selected deck within the current browser tab session. Current tab session
paltcg-online-session Necessary Lets you reconnect to an in-progress online match if you reload the page. Current tab session
paltcg-spectate-session, palworld-tcg-presence-client-id Necessary Reconnects the current tab to a spectated match and distinguishes that tab for presence updates. Current tab session
paltcg-library-viewed Necessary Prevents repeated Decklists views from the same tab from being counted more than once. Current tab session
paltcg-auto-end-turn, paltcg-auto-pass-quick, paltcg-confirm-effect-activation, paltcg-confirm-end-turn, paltcg-reduced-game-banners, paltcg-orientation-tip-* Necessary Remember gameplay, confirmation, banner, and orientation preferences selected in Settings or during play. Until cleared
paltcg-local-game-recovery (IndexedDB) Necessary Stores one compact Solo or VS Bot recovery snapshot in your browser. Game logs and chat are excluded. The snapshot is replaced as the game progresses and removed when the game finishes or you start a new local game. Until the game finishes, is replaced, or site data is cleared

4. Analytics Cookies

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the simulator is used — for example, how many matches are played per day, which game modes are most popular, and whether features like the Deckbuilder are being used.

No simulator usernames, real names, deck contents, chat messages, or account identifiers are included in our GA4 events. Like any web request, the Analytics request reaches Google's infrastructure with network and device information; Google states that GA4 does not log or store raw IP addresses and uses them transiently for purposes such as coarse geolocation and routing. See Google's EU-focused Analytics privacy information.

Google processes analytics data on its own servers. You can learn more at:

5. How to Manage Cookies

You have several options to control cookies:

Via the consent banner: When you first visit the site, a banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. Your choice is saved in local storage (paltcg-cookie-consent) and, when you are logged in, its policy version is also saved to your account so it can be restored after login if the browser clears local data.

Via your browser settings: All modern browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and local storage. Here are direct links for the most common browsers:

Note: blocking the paltcg_session cookie will prevent you from staying logged in. Clearing local storage will reset your saved preferences (audio settings, cookie choice, deck drafts) and log you out of any in-progress reconnect. Analytics cookies can be blocked without affecting any site functionality.

6. Cookie Consent and Withdrawal

Your analytics consent can be reviewed or withdrawn at any time through Cookie preferences in Settings. Clearing browser cookies and local storage also removes the local choice; if you later log in, the current account-level choice is restored until you change it through Cookie preferences.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new cookies or change how existing ones work, this page will be updated and the effective date at the top will reflect the change.
